It’s easy to lose sight of what’s essential when we’re young and have a lot on our plates. We must allow the Lord to put our passions under his grace in those early days of excitement and frenetic delight so that we might be utilized for God’s larger benefit. As we become older, we discover that we can’t accomplish things as well as we used to. This does not imply that life must be miserable. It simply implies that we must determine what is most essential. We should have learnt the teachings of religion as children so that we may be leaders, models, and mentors for those who come after us.

Holy God, I pray for the young people in your church. Help them locate you so you may passionately and joyfully follow Jesus. May they have real, powerful, joyful, and prosperous faith! Prove to them your superiority. In order to help them get through their older years, give them a strong feeling of your presence, triumph, and grace. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
