The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. — Proverbs 10:24

The wicked are afraid that good, holy, and righteous things will win. They worry about not being in charge. They are afraid that death will find them. The righteous want goodness, holiness, and righteousness to win in the end. They let the Holy Spirit of God take charge of their lives. They know that death is an enemy, but that their Savior has already won over it. Isn’t it comforting to know that the worst thing that will happen to the wicked is that they will be afraid?

Prayer

O LORD God, please let your justice, mercy, and righteous ways win in the lives of everyone who wants to follow you and do what you want. Please make my heart more like yours when it comes to evil and the people who do it. Also, give me a stronger desire to lead people who don’t know you to Christ. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
