The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. — Proverbs 10:21

The words of those who are good have a way of making other people’s lives better. It could be a word of encouragement, a carefully chosen speech, wise advice, a message of comfort, the truth in what they teach, or being true to what they say they will do. The words of good people are always a blessing, no matter how they look. But fools don’t pay attention to the wise. They choose their own path and turn away from truth, wisdom, and God, only to find that their lives have no meaning and are full of foolishness.

Prayer

Father God, you are the source of all truth and wisdom. Please help me find the righteous people around me and have the sense to listen to what they say. Please keep me from falling into the traps of pride and arrogance as I seek to hear your truth from people whose lives reflect your character. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
