One of the hardest things about being a parent is knowing that I can’t always keep my kids from getting hurt or having their hearts broken. Some of that pain is needed to help them grow up and mature. Some of it hurts because we live in a world that is broken. But we can be sure that nothing can keep them from his ultimate victory, care, and reunion with us and with him if we share the Lord with them and they give their lives to his will. Imagine how much the Father loves us and wants to bring us to that safe place in his house, knowing how much we love them. Isn’t it comforting to know that he is always watching over us and the people we love, until we get home?

Prayer
Father, I too am watching and waiting for our first face-to-face meeting. O Father, I know that you see me and keep an eye on me, but there are times when I long to see you and find it difficult to wait to find comfort and blessing in your company and in my eternal home. I acknowledge that you are keeping an eye on all of my actions until then, and I am grateful for everything I will one day receive. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
