Your brother died and gave you his share of the family’s money. That’s the point of this. We are God’s children because we have God’s Spirit. If we are God’s children, we are entitled to everything that God has to give. We are co-heirs with Christ. His death made it possible for us to become part of God’s family. So, even if we have to go through some hard times or painful problems, we won’t give up. We know that the time will come when we will get all of heaven’s good things.

Prayer

Father, I’m grateful for your kindness. I need you to give me more and more of that grace. Please help me stay strong and faithful in the face of my troubles and temptations. Please give me the strength to keep going through the hard times because I know I’ll be with you in heaven someday. Thank you for your Spirit, which tells me I am your child and will share in all your blessings. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
