Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. — John 8:12

After watering my yard in the dark last night, I was so happy to find a flashlight so I wouldn’t be surprised by any “critters” when I reached into the bushes to turn on and off my faucet. My joy, on the other hand, is much greater because I found Jesus. He lights up my heart on my darkest nights, my future with his coming glory, my path with his words of truth, and my hope with the dawn of every Sunday, which reminds me of his victory over the grave.

 

Thought

Prayer

Father, dearest, holiest God, how can I ever thank you enough for being my light? Jesus will show me the way until the light of your glory shines from my face. Many thanks. I praise and thank you in the name of Jesus, the Light of the world. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
