As my brothers and I got older, my mother often reminded us that sinning is sometimes a bad way to get to something wonderful. Similar to this, the Holy Spirit warns us that pursuing fake wealth will not lead to a wealthy and fulfilling life. Only a life that is genuinely rich and full may be obtained via godliness.

Prayer

Kind and loving Father, please pardon me for falling prey to the culture of money and envy. Using your Spirit, kindly provide me the endurance and moral fortitude I need to resist Satan’s deception and persevere in pursuing the abundant life you wish for me. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
