Sin is nothing new. We may understand how foolish and disobedient God’s people were in the past because the Bible is truthful. We may evaluate them based on the opportunities they missed and the negative outcomes they caused for themselves. We might be reminded of how similar we are to them as well.

Prayer

Father, I am aware that my transgressions against you and your cause have damaged you and your cause just as much as the transgressions of the people in the Bible. As I strive to live a holy life that pleases you and is a benefit to others around me, kindly pardon me and give me courage. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
