Dear friend of Jesus, be patient with those around you who are not yet what God wants them to be. Remember that none of us are yet what God wants us to be. As you “bear with” other people’s flaws, you may find that other people are more forgiving of your flaws and more grateful for your faithfulness. We shouldn’t be patient just to help ourselves, of course. Instead, we do it to help others because we know that many of our Christian brothers and sisters are barely holding on to their faith, hope, and love. Let’s never let them go, and let’s never make them fall.

Prayer
Tender Shepherd, give me more patience with those who are struggling and need your strength and my support. Please forgive me for not being as aware of their struggles as you are. Help me show them that you are patient as you make them holy. Thank you, Lord, for helping me with this part of my heart as I try to bless my brothers and sisters in Christ. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
