While Paul’s exhortation is wonderful, it is the manner of the exhortation that should be highlighted. We live in a time when we are continually pushed to highlight the unique, new, or enhanced versions of things. However, as Christians, we believe that what we know is always more important than what we do. As a result, more often than we’d like to admit, we need to remind each other, “Hey, you’re doing great; keep doing what you’re doing!”

Prayer
Thank you, faithful Father, for keeping track of the things I’ve done that make you happy and are good. Please help me keep doing the things that make you happy, but do them even better, so that you will be happy and praised. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
