We can do God’s work with confidence because of all the big and small heroes in the Bible. But to boldly go where he wants us to go, we must first be willing to let go of the sin that messes up our lives, blurs our vision, makes our doubts bigger, and drains our spiritual strength and stamina.

Prayer

Holy Father, please forgive me. Not just my obvious sins, but also my willingness to mess around with things that aren’t holy, to flirt with things that are dangerous to my spiritual health, and to be around things that remind me of Satan’s world. Give me the strength to say no to things that pull me away from you and to love with all my heart the things that bring me closer to you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
