A new covenant: God willingly made a new deal with us, his creatures, sealed it with the blood of his Son Jesus, and sent the Spirit to give us the power to live the life of this new covenant. God has given us a promise of love and grace. Then, the Almighty made us worthy and able to share this covenant with other people. It makes sense that it gives life because it gives life to us and through us.

Prayer

Thank you, holy and powerful God, for your grace, which has saved me from sin and bought me back from the law of sin and death. Thank you for sending your Son and your Spirit as gifts so that I can live with you in a covenant of life, grace, and love. Even though I tell you about my flaws, I promise to live to honor your sacrifice, love, and covenant. I trust that you will give me the strength I need to become what you want me to be. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
