Verse of the Day is read by people from all over the world and from many different countries. Even though our countries of origin and ethnic backgrounds are different, we are all part of the same kingdom. We care about people of all races, cultures, languages, and countries. Why? Because we’ve been saved from the dominance that has power over race, culture, language, and country. That dominance makes us feel separate and afraid of each other, which can lead to hate and violence. We’ve been granted a more wonderful kingdom! We have become a more beautiful and lively race. We are God’s children and part of the Kingdom of his beloved Son.

Prayer
Use us, O Father, to get rid of the temporary things that keep people apart from each other. Make us a nation that is good, hopeful, and full of love. Get rid of all the sadness in our hearts. Let your grace shine through us to the rest of the world so that people will see us as a force for peace. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
